A full-scale exercise will be conducted at the Owensboro-Daviess County Airport from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday.

Numerous response vehicles and two helicopters will be responding. The public does not need to be alarmed.

The intersection to the airport will be blocked and secured during this time period as it would be during a real event. The exercise event is not open to the public.

The airport is required to test its emergency plan with a full-scale exercise every three years. The capabilities being tested this year are on-scene security and protection, communications and medical triage following an aircraft crash.
